December 20, 2023 - Wednesday - We stayed local today due to forecasted rain.  Our destination was the San Bernardino County Museum in Redlands to see some of their current exhibits.  The first is called "Sketching Nature: The Art of Scientific Illustration."  It's a small exhibit showcasing some of their nineteenth century books.

The second exhibit we saw is called "Power of the Press: Black Voice News @ 50."

The exhibit is a well deserved tribute to this Riverside based newspaper for their 50 years of publication.

Afterwards we drove over to the city of San Bernardino to have lunch at an authentic Mexican restaurant called Mitla Cafe.

We both had our usual here, "Chili Relleno."  It's a dish in Mexican cuisine that originated in the city of Puebla.  Generally it's a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese, either queso Chihuahua or queso Oaxaca, then it's covered with an egg batter and sautéed.

It's delicious and so is the atmosphere.
