October 8, 2026 - Thursday - Today we were in Claremont, CA to visit the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery, on the campus of Scripps College.  Presented on the occasion of Scripps College’s centennial, "An Artistic Legacy: Scripps at 100" celebrates a century of groundbreaking creative production by the College’s alums and faculty.  Organized around six themes; regionalism, craft and pattern, graphic art, photography, process-based art, and new media, the exhibition traces how Scripps artists have shaped major artistic movements of the last century.

"The Dove" is very nice.

So is the "Stretching Cat."

Below is Rex Brandt's "Balboa."

This Phil Dike piece is called "Boats Come In, in the Afternoon."

This Mission Bay Branch of Home Savings was done by the Millard Sheets Studio.

This is "Landscape with Barn" by Millard Sheets.

It's a great collection that we both enjoyed.

Before the gallery we had lunch at The Hat in Upland.

Judy went small today, ordering their "Junior Burger."

I had my usual, their famous pastrami sandwich and it was out of this world!
