June 1, 2024 - Saturday - Today we were in  Claremont, CA to see the Petterson Museum of Intercultural Art.  The Museum has over 10,000 artifacts from all corners of the world that demonstrate mankind's endeavor through the ages to create objects of power and beauty.  The Museum is located on the 32 acre campus of Pilgrim Place, a cultural and religious community founded in 1915 for those who have had careers in religious or charitable non-profit organizations.  Over the years an extensive collection of international arts and crafts were brought to Pilgrim Place by retiring missionaries, pastors and other donors.

The jewelry on display came from all over the world, from the United States to Myanmar.

It's a relatively small exhibit that holds some real treasures.

After the museum, we had lunch at our Claremont favorite, Aruffo's Italian Cuisine.

This is the complimentary bread, with their own sauce.

We both had the same entrée since it's so good.  We had their "Bucatini Carbonara" with classic custard cream sauce, pecorino, capocollo, cracked peppercorns, and fresh bucatini pasta.
