December 11, 2024 - Wednesday - We headed to the coast today to visit the city of Huntington Beach, CA. Our destination was a neighborhood known for its "Painted Ladies." While these are not old and restored buildings since they were built in the 1980s, the style of painting identifies them as Victorian painted ladies.
The first group we saw was five very large houses in the 500 block of 20th Street.
Four of the houses are almost identical in construction.
The fifth house is a duplex.
The second group of four houses is in the 300 block of 21st Street.
Some of the parkways in front of the houses were decorated.
After touring the neighborhood, we headed over to Duke's Huntington Beach for lunch.
Judy had their fish and chips that are delicious.
I went for their fish tacos that are always a treat.
Although it was hazy and overcast, it was a nice adventure.
