May 17, 2026 - Sunday - Today we were in Temecula, CA to visit the Little Temecula History Museum.  The History Museum is filled with numerous artifacts that speak to the history of this area.  It's located adjacent to the original Vail Ranch buildings.  In 1905, Arizona cattle baron Walter Vail expanded an existing ranch into the sprawling 87,500 acre Vail Ranch, one of California's largest cattle operations at the time.

The small barn is packed with artifacts.

This is a 1926 Model T.

It's nice to see citizens step up to preserve their area's history.

Before the museum we had lunch at a Temecula favorite, Gourmet Italia.

Judy had their Cannelloni with homemade Cannelloni filled with Ricotta, savory meat sauce, and béchamel.

I had their Lasagne with a Bolognese sauce, béchamel, Parmiggiano, and mozzarella in meat sauce.

Both dishes were delicious, we love it here.
