April 1, 2026 - Wednesday - Today we drove to the coast to visit the Laguna Art Museum and see their latest exhibits. The one we liked is called "Frank Cuprien: For the Love of the Sea" which honors an artist who helped define Laguna Beach as an art colony and whose paintings continue to convey the quiet power, rhythm and generosity of the Pacific Ocean.
This is a photo of Mr. Cuprien and his palette.
As a leading member of the Laguna Beach, CA art colony, Cuprien became known as the "Dean of Laguna Artists."
Before the museum we stopped for brunch at the Zinc Cafe in downtown Laguna Beach.
Judy had their "Caprese Sandwich" with mozzarella, tomato and a creamy basil sauce. Her side was potato/spinach soup.
I had their "Black Bean Chili" with black beans, bell peppers, tomatoes, green onion, sour cream, and two garlic knots.
