September 30, 2026 - Wednesday - Today we were back in Glendale, CA to visit our favorite museum in a cemetery, the Forest Lawn Museum.  Their latest exhibit is called "California Visionaries: The Lives and Legacies of Walt Disney and Hubert Eaton."  The exhibition explores the personal and creative relationship between Walt Disney and Forest Lawn Memorial Parks founder Hubert Eaton, highlighting the philosophical and artistic parallels that shaped their respective legacies and the iconic parks they created.

This is a parrot from Disneyland's Tiki Bar.  It both talked and moved.

This is "Duck Boy," the first sculpture Mr. Eaton bought for the Forest Lawn Park.

A figurine from Disneyland's Small World.

Mr. Eaton is on the left.

Another Forest Lawn sculpture, Mark Twain.

A Disneyland's Matterhorn Bobsled.

A photograph of Walt on his last trip to Disneyland in 1966, several months before his death.

A watercolor of the Forest Lawn Administration Building.

Dumbo from the now discontinued ride.

The old storybook sign at the entrance to Forest Lawn Park.

The Great Mausoleum in Forest Lawn.

Hubert Eaton surveying the George Washington statue.

Walt and Hubert (second from right) looking at new equipment for the hospital they both served together as Board Members.

Unfortunately our usual Italian restaurant, La Bella Pinseria Romana has closed.  So, for lunch, we decided to try a Mediterranean restaurant in the area, Salt and Olive.

Judy had their grilled chicken wrap with chicken noodle soup on the side.

I had a traditional Greek salad with warm pita bread.

I loved my salad but Judy's wrap was just okay.
