February 5, 2026 - Thursday - Today we were in Ontario, CA to visit the Chaffey Community Museum of Art. Their latest exhibit is called "Generations of Creativity: the Art of the Svenson Family." The exhibition are works of art by sculptor John Edward Svenson and his family; David and Kazumi and John and Sharon. The works are created in a wide variety of media from traditional carved wooden sculpture to mixed media and neon.
The one below is called "The Whaler."
Most of the pieces are by the father, John Edward Svenson, followed by the sons, and then the sons' wives. Judy and I would be proud to own any of them, they're beautiful!
Before the museum, we had lunch at Casa Diaz in Chino.
Judy had their taquitos with carnitas (pork).
I had their "Grande Nachos" with homemade beans, melted jack cheese, house guacamole, crema, fresh pico de gallo, carne asada and a chili Verde sauce.
Both dishes were delicious, and huge! We ended up taking two boxes home.
