November 3, 2024 - Sunday - Today we drove over to the city of Brea, CA to visit the Brea Gallery. The gallery is owned and operated by the city and it's located in their Civic Center Plaza. Currently on exhibit is "99 Voices in Pastel: Pastel Society of the West Coast." Founded in 1985, the Pastel Society of the West Coast has grown to become the second largest pastel association in the United States.
We loved this gallery, it's big and the lighting is excellent. The quality of the pastels is outstanding. Most were for sale, with prices between $500 and $4,500.
Before the gallery we had lunch at the Lazy Dog Restaurant, also located in the same complex.
The menu here is huge! It took us a while to go through it. My choice was their fish and chips. The French fries and the fish were delicious.
Judy had their "Walnut Chicken Salad Sandwich" with golden raisins, red onion, field greens, tomato, celery, and curry mayo on walnut wheat bread. The sandwich and the onion rings were superb!
