March 27, 2026 - Friday - Today we were back in Pomona, CA to visit AMOCA, the American Museum of Ceramic Art. One of their current exhibits is called "AIR 2026: Compulsion." AIR 2026: Compulsion features new work by four AMOCA Artists in Residence: Bianca MacPherson, Kristy Moreno, Maxwell Henderson, and Yoon Hwang. The exhibition presents new and current work these artists have made in the AMOCA Ceramics Studio during their time in residency.
This first group was created by Yoon Hwang.
The second group, rather whimsical, was created by Kristy Moreno.
The third group was created by Maxwell Henderson.
The fourth group was created by Bianca MacPherson.
All artists have their own style and it's an interesting show.
Before the museum we had lunch at Hen & Heifer Pomona.
We both had burgers with a fresh-ground premium burger patty, house-made burger sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheddar cheese and caramelized onions. Judy had the 4 oz. burger without lettuce. We split an order of fries that were huge.
My burger was 6 oz. Both were very tasty and a little messy.
