It seems like it's going to be a long time before Judy and I learn the growing seasons out here in California.  Something is always blooming, no matter the season.  It's now February 5, 2011 and some of our cactus and aloe plants have decided to flower, go figure!

For those on the East Coast, that green carpet in the background is called a "lawn."  You should see one in your yard by Memorial Day.

The aloe flower in the center is still green, but will turn red shortly.

It's tough keeping up with the seed for the Goldfinches.
