On Wednesday April 14, 2010 we drove south to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park that is located east of San Diego and just north of Calexico, CA (and Mexacali, Mexico). This park is big, it's over 600,000 acres and stretches 25 miles east to west and 50 miles north to south. There was a rain storm on Monday, which always brings new blooms to the desert, as can be seen below.
